Monday Musings: Developing Healthy Habits

Good morning, and happy Monday! After another restful weekend, I thought I would share some of the healthy habits I've been working on this year. I've probably shared them in previous posts or Instagram stories, but I thought I'd pull them all together in one post if you're looking for ways to focus on yourself for the second half of 2024.



  1. Like Samantha, I've upgraded our vitamins! I've started ordering from Garden of Life, which was recommended by our doctor as a reputable product. You might ask yours or do some research to see what would work best for you.

  2. I try to spend a little time each morning (on the weekends) outside in the sunshine enjoying my coffee. It's relaxing and feels like the right way to start the day when I can.

  3. I've added more weight to my workouts. Through our Peloton subscription, we have bike bootcamps which have a weight portion. Between a weekly bootcamp, some yoga and rowing, I feel like I'm doing what I can for my bones as I get older!

  4. I'm back to prepping our fruits and veggies for the week, and I'm reminded what a big difference it makes in our weekly consumption of healthy snacks! I bring berries and carrots to work, and the kids have fruit available whenever they're hungry. As an added reminder, I usually pull out a bowl of grapes or cherries and leave them on the counter in the morning!


Hopefully, this helps with some easy, accessible options for adding a healthy habit or two to your busy lives!
