What is love? It can be many things and it should always be celebrated. I fully appreciate its meaning when in music lyrics and literature. Last year, it was a lot of fun to seek out quotes about love. I ended up finding more than I needed, so I've included those additional ones below:
"Love her but leave her wild."
– Atticus Poetry
"There is no remedy for love but to love more."
– Henry David Thoreau
“Love is a lot like a backache, it doesn’t show up on X-rays, but you know it’s there.” – George Burns "To love well is the task in all meaningful relationships, not just romantic bonds." – bell hooks
"Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same."
– Emily Brontë
“I would rather spend one lifetime with you, then face all the ages of this world alone.”
– J.R.R. Tolkien
"Nobody has ever measured, even poets, how much a heart can hold."
– Zelda Fitzgerald
"Love is something sent from heaven to worry the hell out of you."
– Dolly Parton
"Doubt thou the stars are fire, Doubt the sun doth move, Doubt truth to be a liar, but never doubt thy love." – William Shakespeare
"We accept the love we think we deserve." – Stephen Chbosky
I hope these inspire you to love well and to share your feelings with those you love!
