One of my favorite things about fall is the delicious flavors. This easy, slow-cooker cinnamon apples recipe is a hit with my family!
Ingredients:
- 6 apples of your choice sliced (and peeled, if you prefer)
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons of corn starch (we use arrowroot powder)
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
Instructions:
Step 1: In the slow-cooker, mix the apples, both sugars, corn starch (or arrowroot powder), cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
Step 2: Cube the butter and add to the mixture.
Step 3: Cook on low for 4-5 hours.
Step 4: Serve warm.
These apples are delectable by themselves or you can serve them with ice cream.
