Every season, I update my wardrobe with a handful of staples and one or two trendier pieces. Over the years, I've found that the pieces I select carefully are usually the ones that get the most use and last the longest in my wardrobe. They're often basics in navy, black or beige, but not always. For more about a capsule wardrobe, check out some of my previous posts.
This fall, I don't need much, but I have a few things I'm adding:
This skirt is so pretty and comes in petite lengths. It's got great reviews, so I'm very hopeful! It also comes in navy and cream.
I have this JCrew Factory sweater blazer in navy, and I love the fit. It's actually an improvement over their previous two button version that I have in gray and oatmeal.
I almost bought these last year, and I still love them! They'd look great with skinny jeans and leggings.
I could also use some new knee high brown boots. Mine are probably eight years old or so, and they weren't great quality to begin with. They're all so expensive though!
A few other things that aren't must-haves, but have a classic appeal and would be great wardrobe staples:
I think this could be worn to work with nice pants and loafers but could look equally cute on the weekends with jeans! If you end up ordering, definitely reviewed the reviews to get details on sizing.
I love this if you're looking for something dressier! It's pretty pricey, but I bet you'd have it in your closet for years!
For now, I'm going to soak up the sun and heat, and save the shopping for after the long weekend!
