Tuesday Morning Tidy: Packing School Lunches

It's back-to-school! For me, one of the most dreadful school year routines is packing school lunches. It's hard to put into words how exhausting it is to keep lunches interesting each week, which makes grocery shopping challenging, too.

I've compiled a list of ideas and some supplies to make it a bit easier, and maybe fun, this year.

  • salami and cheese roll-ups

  • cucumber slices, baby carrots, pita chips with hummus

  • mini bagels with cream cheese

  • mini chicken salad cups with pretzels or crackers

  • yogurt with (or without) fruit and/or granola

  • hard boiled eggs

  • soup or pasta in a Thermos

  • banana with peanut butter/almond butter

  • strawberries with Nutella

  • pre-made frozen açaí bowls (thawed by lunch time)

  • grapes, blueberries, raspberries, clementines

Below are containers and accessories I recommend to make lunch packing fun and exciting for parents and kids.

Here's to a school year filled with good lunches and less stress! Happy Lunch Packing!
