Since the beginning of AndSheWrites, I've been sharing my capsule wardrobe updates; this marks my eighth update! You can find all of my previous posts right here.
I follow a few key personal guidelines when I buy clothing, and they help me stick to a streamlined wardrobe:
Get rid of anything that doesn't fit or hasn't been worn in a year.
Stop chasing sales.
Create a list of needs for the upcoming season, focusing primarily on staples.
Identify 1-2 trendier items that may not need to be super high-quality.
With those parameters in mind, here are my updates:
These Endless High Rise pants are great for work! They have so many features--zip pockets, machine washable, and come in petite through tall. I have them in black and have worn them once per week since buying! They're a nice weight for spring and summer, and come in navy, olive and grey if you need other colors.
I have several formal events over the next few months, and wanted something simple I could pair with different shoes and bags. This navy dress has a fun ruffle neck and fits true to size!
I last bought sneakers in 2021, but they're starting to show their age. I'm leaning towards these Dolce Vita ones with the cute scallop trim. I've heard that they are very comfortable.
I bought these sandals for spring break and they can be dressed up or down. They come in a variety of colors and are under $60 right now!
I know--it's a little shoe heavy on the shopping. But they will go with everything! Perfect for a capsule wardrobe.
