Are you getting ready for that magical...stressful...chaotic...memorable time of year--family vacation?! The time away from work and normal life are essential for everyone, but the preparation can be daunting. Here are a few tips to make the trip just a bit smoother.
Rental Car. This is something I often put off, so maybe this will serve as a much-needed reminder for you.
Reservations. Are you visiting a special museum when you arrive? Book those tickets well before you go so you can secure your space on the day you want.
Shopping. Do you need travel toiletries? Packable beach towels? Even hard-to-find ingredients can be packed if you'll be cooking at your vacation rental.
Leisure. Make sure you download or bring some good reading material! We have lots of recommendations. The same goes for movies--Netflix and Amazon both have download options for when you can't stream. We also throw a deck of cards in our luggage; Uno or Rummy can be lots of fun after dinner or before heading to the beach.
Apps. Are you headed to a baseball game? Big city? Make sure you download the apps you'll need from the wifi of your own home so you're not standing at the ticket gate fumbling with passwords and bad cell service.
