After exposing my skin to more sun than it needs, despite my best efforts with hats and sunscreen, it's time to take special care. Also, as the air gets dryer, I use heavier moisturizers and more lip products.
To start reversing the effects of summer sweat and sun, I make sure to do pore cleansing and a peel once a week.
I also add back in a Vitamin C serum in the mornings, which I don't tend to use in the summer (I think I read that it makes you more sun sensitive). I use this inexpensive one, and it lasts all fall and winter.
My feet take a beating in the summer with sandals and bare feet, but Aquaphor under my fuzzy socks does the trick.
To increase moisture, I switch from Avene Light Hydrance to Hydrance Rich later in the fall. These are my favorite moisturizers, and I love the way they feel!
I try to use a lip mask year-round, but I take special care in the fall and winter. Laniege is a good one (and went viral last year!), and I also like this Burt's Bees one.
I never wear lipstick, but during the colder months, I usually pick up a few tinted lip glosses. Burt's Bees has one I've used for years!
That's my routine. I'm definitely no dermatologist, but these are things that work for me and keep my skin happy in the fall.
