I'm going to take a quick break from reading Christina Lauren's The Honey-Don't List and eating my nightly dark chocolate to share my newest planner infatuation!
I love the feel of a new planner--it seems full of possibilities and opportunities! And I've been incredibly happy with the dot grid journals I've been buying on Amazon. However, with a new job and lots of other time constraints, I was looking for some shortcuts to my normal list creation and setup.
I initially started toying with creating my own layouts digitally and then having them printed, but this wasn't proving to be as easy logistically as I was hoping. And while I still hope to explore that at some point, I found a near perfect solution--Golden Coil.
These are custom planners and notebooks that come with a wide variety of templates that you can add in page increments of two. Everything from meal planning to gift lists to plain lined pages. It took me a few weeks to figure out just what pages I needed and the quantity of each, but since I had the bulk of the notebook printed with dot grid pages, it's still pretty flexible. I ordered a notebook vs. planner, because the flexibility of the bullet journal system was offered through the notebook option.
They are also really pretty and still fairly petite at 7.25" x 9.75". I love the spiral binding's functionality if I want to lay it flat, and the cover options are very professional. The ordering system was a little tricky, but once I figured out that I needed to add pages precisely in the order I wanted them printed, it was quite easy.
The only caveat is the price. My Amazon dot journal was around $25, and this journal was nearly four times that. However, I ordered with enough pages to last a full year, and the pre-designed templates saved me a lot of time when I needed it most! And, I did find a good promo code...
