What I'm Loving: Our Traeger Grill

Updated: Nov 22, 2020

Back in April, my husband treated himself, and as it turns out our family, to a new wood-fire grill -- a Traeger Pro Series. This purchase has been a fun distraction during these months of warm weather and social distancing.

Traeger offers a few different grill models, however, all are pellet fueled and can cook an array of foods with a wood-fired flavor. The food options are endless. We’ve devoured tasty steaks, ribs, whole smoked chicken (my favorite thus far), fresh vegetables, pizzas and meatloaf prepared on the grill. According to www.traegergrills.com, the premium wood pellets are made from natural food-grade hardwood. Moreover, Traeger products are made in the USA and provide “the cleanest, healthiest fuel source with endless flavor combinations.” The wood-fire taste is delicious.

I'm not much of a grilling enthusiast. In all honesty, I mostly enjoy prime grilling season because I’m spending less time in the kitchen preparing meals. However, with our Traeger, not only do I enjoy a break from the oven and stove, I’m also enjoying delectable food daily. It’s been a wise investment that has offered a renewed excitement for food preparation.

Traeger’s website and app provide an endless number of recipes and educational classes. My husband enjoys trying new recipes several times a month. We haven’t been disappointed once! In addition, having a Traeger can be a fun shopping experience. There are rubs, seasonings, pellet flavors and accessories available to purchase on their website, app and on Amazon. (See And She Writes’ Amazon links below.)

In closing, if you’re looking for a great, albeit a bit pricey, gift for yourself or a grilling-loving family member, you should consider a Traeger. It’s a great group birthday or Christmas present. It's worth the investment much like a good quality kitchen appliance. Trust me, you’ll be grilling year round!
